Yang is a Vancouver-based industrial designer, illustrator, and intern architect. Yang graduated with a Master of Architecture from The University of British Columbia, School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture where her thesis, Fenghuo: from bloom to harvest won the John Gaitanakis Prize in Architecture. Her design respects culture, land and people. She is passionate about forming interactions, narratives, and community through design and architecture.
She has a background in Industrial Design, with a Bachelor of Design from Emily Carr University of Art + Design. She enjoys working and designing with the communities, she minored in Social Practice and Community Engagement during her study at Emily Carr. Her undergrad graduation project, Rolling, Filling, Steaming won the Faculty Award for the Most Committed Student.
Yang is currently an Intern Architect AIBC. She has experience working as a designer both in architecture and product design firms in Vancouver and Beijing.
